We came into being during vacations’98 in Bielsko. For a year and a
half we had played in a four persons lineup. After that period the vocalist
Mukunda-Priya left and the one who took her place over was Natalia.
More less it was the same time for Demonic to join us.
So we are five at present:
Except Jajko we are all Hare Krishna and what follows we are vegetarians
(Yoyo is a vegan), trying not to use any stimulants. Jajko (like he
says about himself) is a Straight Edge sympathized with Hare Krishna
(also no stimulants and meat).
We come from Bielsko-Biala in Poland (well, Demonic is a nomadic
type – his home is everywhere). Thanks to kindness of the guys from
„Akurat” band we may share the rehearsal room with them
using half of their equipment.
Music
The style we play is really difficult to define. Generally it is called
krishna-core, equivalently I believe. (The idea is to connect the
new and old school of hardcore, power and melody, shout and singing
etc.
The tone – hard (we tune ourselves to low A).Recently we have been
doing lots of experiments. These are ideas for sampling, ska elements
and so on.

to download. Our plans are large. We want to make a small recording
during a few months (8 pieces) and maybe we will manage publish it
somewhere.
What do we play for?
Omkara is a way to make everything what is inside us visible, including
the private worldview of every each of us, spiritual experiences,
moral attitude and frustrations of everyday life. Omkara is also a
way to present a better method for living, in harmony with Allmighty
first and foremost. We try not to impose our outlooks upon the others,
especially religious, but it is very important plane of our life and
it would be a stupidity if we didn’t show it to the others.
Except the band
Jajko plays in the bands "WATCHING ME FALL” & "NO
TURN A BLIND EYE" (HC), Yoyo bangs the drums in „AKURAT”
and plays bass in „CHORY” (power violence) and Demonic rows
in reggaewish „VILLAGE OF PEACE”. Natalia, Yoyo and Rufa
are the members of the local Hare Krishna congregation. 3/5 of the
band studies.
